Privacy and cookies
What this website learns about you, and what we do with it.
The short version: we learn who you are only if you write to us, we count visits with Google Analytics, and we neither sell your data nor add you to a mailing list. The details, and the switch that turns analytics off, are below.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Ultimum Technologies a.s., Na Poříčí 1047/26, 110 00 Praha 1, Czechia, company ID 24697753.
Questions about privacy, and any request under the rights listed below, go to info@ultimum.io. We answer within one month.
When you write to us
The contact form asks for your name, work email, company and a description of what you run. Along with it we record the time, a reference number, the page you sent it from, the page language and your browser’s identification string.
We use this to answer your enquiry and, if you ask for one, to prepare an offer. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We do not use it for marketing and we do not add you to any mailing list.
We do not store your IP address. To stop abuse of the form we keep a one-way hash of it, which lets us limit submissions to five an hour without being able to read the address back.
The same applies when you email us directly: we keep the correspondence in order to deal with your request.
Where it is stored, and for how long
An enquiry is written to a database in Microsoft Azure, in data centres in the European Union, and sent through Azure Communication Services to our sales mailbox. Microsoft processes the data on our behalf under its data-protection terms; only our own staff read it.
We keep enquiries, and the abuse-prevention hashes, for two years and then delete them.
Analytics
The production site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which pages are read. Advertising features and Google Signals are off, and analytics is never linked to an enquiry. Google may process the data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). There is no consent banner: this page is where we tell you, and the switch below turns analytics off.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure. As with any website, the hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details in order to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. Fonts, scripts and images are served from our own domain; Google Analytics is the only third party your browser contacts.
Who receives it
Microsoft, as the provider of hosting, storage and email delivery, and Google, as the provider of analytics. Nobody else. We do not sell personal data, and we make no automated decisions about you.
If you are a customer, the personal data we handle while operating your platform is governed by our contract with you, not by this notice.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy
- correct data that is wrong
- erase your data, or restrict what we do with it
- hand your data over in a portable format
- stop processing that rests on our legitimate interest, which covers both analytics and enquiries
Write to the address above. If you think we have handled your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Czech supervisory authority: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, www.uoou.gov.cz.
