Windows Images

When launching a Windows instance, an SSH key has to be inserted (will serve for encrypted password decyphering).

Steps for retrieval of the Administrator password

  • Create a keypair (or use an existing one) – you have to have your private key part ready (downloaded).
  • Launch the instance, providing this keypair in the Ultimum Cloud console dialog or through API.
  • When the instance is launched, you can retrieve the password by selecting ‘Retrieve Password’ from the instance context menu (on the instances overview screen), or via API (using e.g. ‘nova get-password your-private-key-file’).

These information are also possible to be obtained from the Ultimum Cloud console – Image description -> Custom Properties section.
